About the artist

Xia Xiao Wan is a Chinese painter born 1959 in Beijing, China. He lives in Beijing with his wife Chen Hui.

• 1959 Born in Beijing
• 1982 Graduated from the Third Studio of Oil Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts
• 1983 – 1984 Art Editor in China Machinery Publishing


Currently living in Beijing as a professor of Stagecraft Department of the Central Academy of Drama, and the member of the China Oil Painting Institute, Beijing Artists Association and Beijing Arts of Oil Painting Commission.
